Price Simms Family Dealership Group Gifts The Salvation Army $100,000 for Disaster Relief
SACRAMENTO, CA (October 20, 2020) - Price Simms Family Dealership Group has made a generous donation of
$100,000 to The Salvation Army to support the nonprofit's disaster relief efforts. The Salvation Army is on the ground
before, during and long after a disaster. They are part of the communities in which they serve. This amazing gift will
help the nonprofit serve those who lost everything in recent wildfires and ensure The Salvation Army is ready to
respond to the next unfortunate disaster.
"Unfortunately, these disasters have become way too familiar in the past few years," said Major Ivan Wild,
Salvation Army Divisional Commander. "It has been a drain on our resources but thanks to this generous support
we can continue meet the need. Price Simms Family Dealership is an example of family owned community
minded business is all about-others. It is because of family like yours that gives us not only the resources to
meet the need, but it also gives us a great moral boost and encouragement."
Through the support of the Price Simms Family Dealership Group, The Salvation Army's critical mission during
disasters will continue. Those behind the family owned and locally operated business hope their gift will inspire others
to step up and give to The Salvation Army and their community.
"The Price Simms Family dealerships are committed to providing value, integrity, and trust to the communities
we serve," said Adam Simms, CEO Price Simms Family Dealerships. "We are so happy to support the Salvation
Army in the work they do across the Bay Area."
The $100,000 gift will be split between the North, South and East Bays in Northern California. Included in the areas
this gift will support are The Salvation Army of Napa and The Suisun City Salvation Army Kroc Center. In Napa, The
Salvation Army Napa Valley Culinary Training Academy has helped provide meals to wildfire evacuees, first responders
and those struggling to make ends meet due to COVID for more than 200 consecutive days. At the height of the recent
wildfires, they provided more than 4,000 meals per day. The Kroc Center crew responds at a moment's notice to
wildfires and spot fires in Solano County. During the LNU Lightning Complex Fire in August 2020, the nonprofit served
first responders on the front lines.
